The importance of having a logo

Does your company have a face? No, really does your company have a face? How do people recognize your business? Is it a product that you sell? Is it a certain person within your company? How do people recognize your company?

Okay let’s try an experiment, you are going to rememorize the following company names and try and visualize the logos as you close your eyes. You can even say the names out loud.

  • Coca-Cola
  • Facebook
  • KitKat
  • Susan’s cash and carry supermarket

Which one could you not visualize, you see that’s the problem you need an image that represents your company’s ideals, creativity, energy, brand and main focus. What do people think of when they think of your company, what symbol comes to mind? You see a logo is what transcends generations go to any 5 year old child ask them to close their eyes repeat the exact same 4 companies they will get the first 3.

A logo also shows your clients that you take your brand seriously. What is brand? A brand is what people expect to get when they hear your company name or see your logo. When I say Mercedes Benz you think quality/luxury/reliability and did you notice I just said the name that’s all, I didn’t say quality or luxury neither did I say reliability just a mere mention of the name and these are the images your mind conjured up.

Get a logo for you company spend time on it and your company name will transcend generations.
